The new report on positive cases brings the total number of infections since the first case in Morocco in March 2020 to 920,374. The number of people who have recovered has risen to 885,490, a recovery rate of 96.2%.
Infections were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (321), Casablanca-Settat (89), Oriental (78), Marrakech-Safi (52), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (46), Fez-Meknes (28), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (27), Souss-Massa (23), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (16), Drâa-Tafilalet (7), Guelmim-Oued Noun (4) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2).
As for deaths, their total number has increased to 13. 958 (case fatality 1.5%), with 48 new cases recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (19), Casablanca-Settat (11), Oriental (5), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (5), Marrakech-Safi (2), Fez-Meknes (2), Souss-Massa (2), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1), and Drâa-Tafilalet (1)
Active cases are 20,926, while severe or critical cases have reached 1,415, including 40 intubations.
