The prefectural service of the judicial police of Rabat opened, on Monday October 4, an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office after finding a suspicious bag placed near the Lycée Descartes.
Alerted by the management of the French establishment, the police found that the bag seized posed no threat to the safety of individuals or property, said the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a statement, adding that it contained only two empty bottles of alcoholic beverages that were wrapped with a ribbon.
A thorough investigation has been opened to identify the individual who placed the seized bag and to determine the circumstances and motivations behind this behaviour, the same source said.
