Ahmed Bennani was unanimously elected as the new president of the Regional Association of the Hotel Industry of Marrakech-Safi (ARIH-MS), at the end of the ordinary elective General Assembly of this professional association, held recently in the ochre city.
During this meeting, which took place in the presence of the majority of hoteliers, it was also proceeded to the examination and adoption of the moral and financial reports, as well as the composition of a board of 25 directors.
The AGM was also an opportunity to discuss the actions undertaken by the Association and the critical situation due to the new coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), as well as the strategy to be adopted to strengthen the Association so that it can better serve its members, ARIH said in a statement.
In a speech, the new president of ARIH-MS, congratulated his predecessor as well as all the members of the board and the council for the work accomplished, while addressing his thanks to the participants in the Assembly for their confidence. On the same occasion, he made a point of assuring the members of ARIH-MS of his availability to further revitalize the Association and to work for the development of tourism in the region.
“Today, our association must further accentuate its lobbying to defend the interests of our industry. We must work hand in hand on a roadmap to be put in place to save the tourism sector and activate the recovery, “said Bennani on this occasion.
