Reopening of borders. The 3rd dose is mandatory to leave Morocco

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has made additions to the requirements for entering or leaving the country.

We learn that the booster dose (3rd dose) is compulsory to be able to leave Morocco, if the second vaccine dose (or that of the single dose of the J&J vaccine) is more than 4 months old.

The Ministry states that for people who have not received a booster dose and who have recently recovered from Covid-19, the 3rd dose can only be administered after 4 weeks (28 days) from the date of infection. Thus, these people can leave the country with their old vaccination pass, accompanied by a certificate of recovery or a negative PCR test, in addition to the PCR or ART result documenting the last infection.

As regards access to the national territory, the Ministry specifies that only a negative PCR test result less than 48 hours old will be required for children under 18 years of age. For children under 6 years of age, no conditions of access are applied.
