Covid-19: Germany removes Morocco from the red list

Germany has decided to remove Morocco from its list of high-risk countries for travel. This means that Moroccan travelers will be able to benefit from facilitated entry rules to Germany.

Continually updating the list of countries no longer heavily affected by Covid-19, the government announced that Morocco and about 20 other countries will no longer be on the “high risk” list.

Travelers from these countries will no longer be required to observe a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in Germany. The decision also concerns Tunisia, India, Ireland, Andorra, Afghanistan, Algeria, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, as well as overseas regions (French Guiana, Mayotte, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon).

However, the German authorities have stressed that it is still mandatory for all travelers over six years of age, regardless of their country of origin, to present a vaccination certificate and a negative test (PCR less than 72 hours old or antigenic test less than 48 hours old).
