Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto Helps Jews in Ukraine

Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto has sent urgent aid to Jews residing in Ukraine, who are suffering daily from food shortages as a result of the war that Russia has been waging for weeks.

Rabbi Pinto, as usual, did not miss the opportunity to reach out and help Jews wherever they are and whatever circumstances they are going through. He did this through his organization “Shuva Israel”, which is active in many countries of the world and does great humanitarian work for the benefit of Jews in all countries of the world.

The aid sent by Rabbi Pinto to the Jews of Ukraine includes thousands of boxes of basic food and daily necessities, in addition to clothing and medicine. This aid will reach those in need very soon, after the necessary licenses have been obtained from the relevant authorities, especially since the Rabbi, of Moroccan origin, residing between the United States of America and Israel, has extensive relations with high-level political and business figures from all over the world.

Rabbi Pinto is known for his charitable work in various countries around the world, which includes poor and needy members of the Jewish community wherever they may be. He had previously provided numerous aids to Jews residing in Morocco, during the quarantine period imposed by the authorities at the beginning of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. He was keen to distribute food, medicine and all the daily necessities to the Jews of Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez and other Moroccan cities.

He also donated funds through which more than $10,000 was distributed on a weekly basis. He also raised about 15 million dollars for the benefit of the Jews residing in the Kingdom, from the donations and offerings made by the Jews of the world on the occasion of the celebrations of the Feast of Kippur, or Yom Kippur, last year. In addition, an amount has been granted for the implementation of numerous social projects that will benefit the Jewish community residing in Morocco. A sum of this will also be allocated as subsidies and assistance to needy Jews still residing in the Kingdom, in addition to allocating funds for the restoration and maintenance of Jewish synagogues and cemeteries.
