A dozen people were victims of food poisoning on Tuesday in Tiznit after eating pies served in one of the city’s pastry shops.
According to Moroccan Press, 15 people were taken to hospital for treatment after experiencing stomach pains.
In this regard, the association of bakery and pastry shop owners in Tiznit stated in a press release, of which the Moroccan press has a copy, that the establishment in question is not authorized to serve cakes and pastries but persists in doing so.
He added that the association will lodge a complaint against establishments that serve pastries illegally, for the health and economic damage they cause.
