Armament: Morocco received advanced missile defense systems from Israel

Morocco has received a set of Israeli defensive weapons systems, according to data from the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

This acquisition was the subject of a bilateral agreement between the two countries signed last November, following which Israel had given Morocco carte blanche to acquire advanced or sophisticated military systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles and an advanced air defense system, Israeli media reported.

Thanks to the Abraham agreements, Israeli defense industries Elbit, IAI, Rafael and others sold $800 million worth of products and services to Morocco, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in 2021.
