Ayelet Shaked in Morocco this week 

The Israeli ambassador to Morocco, David Govlin, announced that the official visit of the Minister of Interior, scheduled for Monday, will allow Ayelet Shaked, his counterpart Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and some senior officials of the Kingdom to discuss cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest.

The head of the Israeli diplomatic mission in Morocco, David Govrin, said Sunday evening that “we are pleased to receive Ayelet Shaked, Israeli Minister of Interior, who will make an official visit to Morocco tomorrow,” adding that “as part of her visit, she will hold talks with the Minister of Interior (Abdelouafi Laftit), the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Nasser Bourita) and other senior Moroccan officials, she will discuss cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest.

No further details were given about the duration of the visit, nor about the officials with whom she might meet, in addition to those mentioned above.

It should be noted that Morocco and Israel resumed diplomatic relations in 2020, and have since signed important agreements in various sectors, including economic, tourism, agri-food and technology.
