These deaths were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (02), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (01), Draâ-Tafilalet (01) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (01), said the ministry in its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, announcing a total of 16,165 cases of death.
In addition, a total of 2,886 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said, noting that the number of primary vaccinated reached 24,863,250, that of people who received two doses amounted to 23,350,419, while 6,587,523 people had three injections of the vaccine. The number of people who received the fourth dose is 7,912.
The new record of infections brings to 1,244,892 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020, while the number of recovered people has risen to 1,212,252, representing a recovery rate of 97.4%.
The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (729), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (375), Fès-Meknès (302), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (141), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (136), Oriental (131), Marrakech-Safi (83), Souss-Massa (72), Draâ-Tafilalet (57), Guelmim-Oued Noun (17), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (11) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (10).
The active cases are 16,475, while 40 severe or critical cases were recorded during the last 24 hours, bringing their total to 147. As for the occupancy rate of resuscitation beds, it stands at 2.8%.
