A vast program will concretize the high attention given by HM King Mohammed VI to issues related to health and the strengthening of the sector’s human capital, as a central pillar of development and the successful implementation of the Royal Project for the generalization of social protection, in accordance with the provisions of the framework law 09.21 on social protection.
Thus, a framework agreement has just been signed by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, and the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa in the presence of presidents of universities and deans of faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
And it is in this perspective that a Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, and a University Hospital (CHU), will soon be born in Beni Mellal. The announcement of these two important projects was made at the signing ceremony of this framework agreement, chaired by the head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, last Monday in Rabat, aimed at substantially increasing the number of staff working in the sector in Morocco, the goal being to increase this number to 90,000 practitioners in 2025, against 68,000 currently.
