Spain-Morocco: Towards deeper cooperation in precision agriculture

The days began on Monday 26 at the RIU Tikida Beach Hotel in Agadir. In the early hours of the morning, the companies were received at a welcome coffee with the participation of the Consul General of Spain in Agadir, Ms. Miriam de Andrés de Castro, as well as the Councillor of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain, Mr. José Manuel Jaquotot, and the Economic and Commercial Advisor of Spain in Casablanca, Mr. Manuel Vicente Rodriguez Díez 

The event was also honored by the presence of the Director of the National Institute of Agronomic Research (INRA), as well as the Pasha of Agadir Ocean, M’Bark Boufrioua, the Director of Aggregation and Partnership of the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA), the regional president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and the coordinator of the Regional Office for Agricultural Development of Souss Massa (SGRID-ORMVASM). Also, representatives of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the Moroccan Association of Exporting Producers of Fruit and Vegetables (APPEFEL) and the Moroccan Interprofessional Federation of Production and Export of Fruit and Vegetables (FIFEL). 

Then, the 8 Spanish companies made their presentation: AGQ LABS, GREENFIELD, J.HUETE International, ODIN, ORCELIS Fitocontrol, RITEC, SANZAR and UNICOM. The event was concluded with a cocktail reception with the aim of exchanging information about the sector and networking producers, institutions and suppliers of advanced agricultural technologies.

Over the next three days, Spanish companies met with the sector’s players in Morocco in B2B meetings. On Tuesday and Wednesday in Agadir and Thursday at the Barceló Anfa Hotel in Casablanca.
