Education and awareness workshops on the importance of preserving and rationalizing the use of water were held Friday for students of the ecological school Smara in Rabat.
These workshops, initiated in cooperation with the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, aim to raise awareness among students of responsible environmental practices and the importance of changing their behavior towards this vital resource.
During this event, which takes place within the framework of the operationalization of the action plan of environmental education programs, joint between the Foundation Mohammed VI for the Protection of the Environment and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, a series of activities were organized to raise awareness of students on the need to rationalize the use of water, in addition to workshops and drawing competitions related to environmental protection.
According to the organizers, this activity to inscribe in the habits of students a responsible behavior as to the vital role of water and the need for sustainable management of this precious resource away from any form of waste.
The program of this day was marked by a first workshop devoted to preschool children and inclusive education, in addition to children of immigrants, and a second workshop that combines the curriculum with the 17 goals of sustainable development related to water, for the benefit of students and educational and administrative staff of the institution and parent associations.
