Morocco acquires an adaptive radiotherapy unit

The first edition of the Co-Days honors its commitments.

Placed under the theme “Innovative Therapies and Supportive Care”, this event held on November 25 and 26 in Rabat was marked by the launch of the first adaptive radiotherapy unit (Ethos) in Africa. “The Ethos adaptive radiotherapy system uses artificial intelligence.

It allows to provide cancer patients with a personalized and adaptive radiotherapy treatment according to the changes in tumor and anatomical volumes that occur during treatment”, we learn in this sense. This technology aims to better target the tumor and reduce the doses received by healthy tissue. This allows for better results in terms of effectiveness and tolerance. These meetings were also crowned by a rapprochement between the oncology clinic 16 November and the Foch Hospital in Paris.
