Local authorities in the province of Kenitra reported that officers of the Royal Gendarmerie in the region of Moulay Bousselham were able to arrest a person showing signs of mental dysfunction, due to the exposure of foreign tourists, of French nationality, to physical attacks.
The same source explained that, according to preliminary information, the suspect surprised the two foreign nationals, without any reasonable reason, and subjected them to violence with stones, causing them injuries of varying severity.
He added that the injured were transferred to the Moulay Youssef Hospital in Rabat to receive the necessary care, while the suspect was kept, where he is currently subject to a judicial search under the supervision of the competent prosecutor, to discover the reasons for the commission of these criminal acts.
