The Embassy of Australia in Morocco is pleased to announce the celebration of its National Day with a reception on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 5:30 pm.
This celebration will be the first of its kind, held in the new Australian Chancery building in Morocco after its inauguration by the Australian Deputy Foreign Minister on December 6, 2022.
The year 2022 has been full of highlights for the Australian Embassy, from high-level visits by the Deputy Foreign Minister and the Ambassador for Counter-Terrorism, to multiple cultural events held throughout the year. We look forward to all the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead in 2023.
As is now the tradition, a group of prominent Moroccan personalities, including businessmen and women, as well as various public figures of national renown, will gather to share a convivial moment and celebrate the bonds of friendship between the two countries. Our guests will also be able to taste many Australian culinary specialties such as Meat Pies, Australian Pavlovas, or the emblematic Vegemite.
And since barbecuing is an integral part of Australian culture, the Embassy will continue this “Aussie” tradition despite the winter weather, and will be pleased to feature world-class Australian beef.
