The exhibition “From Zellige to infinity” in Rabat

This exhibition, whose opening will take place Thursday at 18:30 at the Espace Rivages at the headquarters of the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans living abroad, will reveal the creations of the last ten years of the artist and a new vision on the zellige and its infinity on the geometric and artistic level, said the organizers in a statement.

For Amine Asselman, the zellige is “a geometric game full of connotations that have a direct relationship with my identity and with the territory where I grew up,” the statement said, adding that the zellige is a field of contemporary creation that is the pillar of his artistic approach.

Born in 1989 in Toulouse, France, Amine Asselman is a multidisciplinary artist who has presented numerous solo and group exhibitions in various galleries, institutions and international fairs. Doctor in creation and research in contemporary art from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Pontevedra in Spain, Amine Asselman obtained in 2013 a degree in Fine Arts at the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan.
