Casablanca: New institute to train bakery and patisserie professionals

The IFMBP in Casablanca is one of 15 vocational training establishments to benefit from the “Charaka” Fund, set up by the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco (MCA-Morocco), as part of the “Compact II” cooperation program between Morocco and the United States government, represented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

The “Charaka” Fund is designed to help promote the integration of young people into the world of work, improve the competitiveness of businesses and encourage the adoption of modes of governance agreed with professionals.

With a total investment of nearly 38 MDH, including a 75% contribution from the “Charaka” Fund, the project to create the IFMBP in Casablanca is being carried out by the Fédération Nationale de la Minoterie (FNM), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and the Association Nationale de Valorisation de la Boulangerie et de la Pâtisserie (ANVBP).

The IFMBP is equipped with technical and educational facilities worth a total of almost 9.3 MDH, including bakery, viennoiserie and patisserie training workshops, a training room, a conference room, raw material and finished product storage facilities, administrative and technical premises, a restaurant, a kitchen and various outbuildings.
