After Booba and Ninho, rapper Kaaris cancels show in Tangier

Following the cancellation of a Ninho concert scheduled for June 24 at the Mohammed V sports complex, and that of Booba, scheduled for June 21 at the same venue, it’s Kaaris’ showcase, initially scheduled for the Bling Bling Luxury Club in Tangier, that has now been invalidated by the local authorities.

Against a backdrop of controversy and boycott, Booba, accused of sexism, had been cancelled following a petition launched against him. For Kaaris, the rapper of Ivorian origin, it’s a track released in 2010 and maligning Moroccan women that incriminates him today, prompting him to cancel his date, as was already the case for two shows scheduled in Marrakech and Tangiers in 2019. The reasons for the cancellation of Ninho’s concert are not yet known.

As in the case of Booba, social networks mobilized to dismiss the interpreter of “Borz”, through numerous organizations and movements pushing Moroccan Internet users to protest against the polemical remarks made by the rapper in his song.
