Illegal migration and human trafficking: three arrests in Agadir

On the basis of precise information provided by the services of the Direction Générale de la Surveillance du Territoire (DGST), elements of the Judicial Police of the city of Agadir, arrested three people aged between 18 and 58, including a woman, suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the organization of irregular migration and human trafficking. 

The operation was carried out in the city of Agadir and in the Safaa rural area of Chtouka Ait Baha, where the suspects were caught in the act of carrying out a sea departure operation for ten migrants, including four minors. 

According to a press release from the Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN), the three suspects were taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the ongoing investigation. The migrants were subjected to the legal procedures in force, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
