Taking advantage of the absence of the girls’ supervisor, who was studying at a private school in Rabat, a school transport driver was sexually molesting them. After complaints from the victims’ parents, the vice squad of the prefectural judicial police at the Rabat Sûreté took the case in hand. Subjected to questioning, the sexagenarian denied all accusations. However, the concordance of the girls’ statements prompted him to confess. According to the police investigation, in the evening, when he had to take the schoolgirls home, he stopped the car to approach the girls and began touching their private parts, while putting others between his knees. The victims eventually informed their parents.
Last Saturday, November 18, the sixty-one-year-old driver was remanded in custody following a decision by the investigating judge at the Rabat Court of Appeal.
