In the region of Brouj in the province of Settat, a thirty-seven-year-old father was brutally murdered on the night of Sunday to Monday, November 26-27, by a gang who abducted him from his home, according to a judicial source. The main perpetrator and his accomplices are on the run and actively sought by the gendarmes, said the same source, who added that this crime is linked to drug trafficking in the region. The motive for the murder was allegedly the victim’s refusal to join a drug-dealing gang. The leader of this gang and his henchmen attacked the victim at his home in the El Bkakcha neighborhood. They stabbed him in the eye and chest before amputating an ear and taking him to a local farm, where investigators found him stripped naked and still alive. The body of the father of two children, aged nine and five respectively, was evacuated to the morgue of the Hassan II hospital in Settat.
