Mani: Work, ambition and talent are all strings of success

In a new episode of Nayda in Hollywood, Simo Benbachir welcomed the international producer of Moroccan origin, Noureddine Dahmani, known as “Mani”, who arrived in America from Taounate to become the manager of a large number of American celebrities.

Mani explained to Simo how he arrived in Los Angeles in 1970 to expand his network of acquaintances and realize his American dream, and how he had collaborated with renowned artists such as Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder and John Paul Gautier, with whom he had participated in several Dior fashion shows.

“It’s very simple. Here in America, no matter what you do, you get paid, and of course everyone helps and encourages you. All you have to do is be serious and stick to schedules and appointments and have the ability to listen in order to understand what the other needs. »

Regarding his company, Mani said he founded it in New York before moving it to Miami, where many stars live, considering it is a bridge between America and Europe, stressing that he intends to open a branch in Hong Kong, because it is a fertile market, and that it represents the future.

As for his conversion to film production, Mani felt that it was a new adventure he entered by chance, after some producers asked him to make soundtracks for their films. He then worked with actor Farrell Williams, who suggested that he supervise the soundtrack of one of his works. So he began to take an interest in cinema and decided to produce his first film, The Hang, in partnership with Joe Davidson (Final Destination) and Logos (Hetman, Hill Boy and Blade). He is currently working on two films, one on Latin immigration to the United States and the other on black neighborhoods and ethnicity in America, with Farrell Williams, James Fox and Michael K. Williams.

Mani spoke of his friendship with the singer and star Snoop Dogg, who dates back twenty years, because he was the first manager to organize concerts for him in Europe, before organizing one in Morocco, and more precisely in Marrakech, which he really liked. “Snoop’s picture on a camel, published on Instagram, has toured the world,” he said.

Mani also talked about his friendship with Philip Lan, owner of the world famous brand and its artistic director. He had met him ten years ago in Saint-Tropez, France, when he was accompanied by Pav Daddy. There was a misunderstanding between them before they became friends and worked together in many fashion shows and advertising campaigns.

At the end of his interview with Simo, Mani recommended three fundamental qualities for people who want to succeed in the United States: a love of work and ambition, in addition to talent of course.
