The travel agency “Ovation Travel Group” has compiled an exclusive list of the best leisure destinations for Forbes magazine.
This ranking, based on the number of bookings but also on the wishes of the agency’s customers, identifies 20 places around the world that must be visited in 2020. While some travel trends are confirmed, there are also some surprises.
The good surprise for Morocco is that Marrakech is in 6th place in this ranking, dominated by the large American areas: Amangiri, Lake Powell in Utah, and Antelope Canyon, Arizona.
To the question, “why Marrakesh?”, Susan Ganis, travel consultant with the Ovation Travel Group, explains in the columns of Forbes that this booming destination offers unique experiences, such as a candlelit dinner in the middle of the desert filled with camel rides, belly dancers and fire-eaters.
A special destination that the agency particularly recommends for active, adventurous travelers interested in different cultural experiences.
Finally, according to the publication, if there is one activity not to be missed when visiting Marrakech, it is the private visit of Yves Saint Laurent’s house and the Majorelle garden.
Here is also the exhaustive list of this ranking, as compiled by the American business magazine, headquartered on the prestigious Fifth Avenue in New York: Palermo (Sicily), Cape Town (South Africa), Bariloche (Patagonia, Argentina), Kigali (Rwanda), Porto (Portugal), Tel Aviv (Israel), Atacama Desert (Chile), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Tokyo (Japan), Pigeon Forge (Tennessee, United States), Kotor (in Montenegro), Cabo San Lucas (in Los Cabos, Mexico), Chiang Mai (in Thailand), Machu Picchu site (in Cusco, Peru), Melbourne (in Australia), Mendoza (in Argentina), Vira Vira (in Chile), San Miguel del Allende (in Mexico).
