Yassine Bounou (FC Sevilla) gave his opinion on Jawad El Yamiq. The central defender is on loan at Real Zaragoza (Spanish D2) until the end of the season. Bounou, who has been playing in Spain since 2012, made a move to Zaragoza between 2014 and 2016 (42 games played).
In an interview with the Spanish media El periodico de Aragón, the goalkeeper revealed that the Real Zaragoza management asked him for his opinion before El Yamiq arrived: “They asked me if I knew him and I said yes. I’m very happy because he’s joined a very big club.”
Bounou is also in contact with El Yamiq and is getting his first impressions since his arrival a week ago. “He told me he was very happy and impressed with the size of the club, the fans, the stadium in La Romareda and the atmosphere,” said the Atlas Lions goalkeeper.
The former Wydad man is very positive about El Yamiq, who he predicts will adapt well if given enough confidence: “He’s fast, moves well with the ball and if Zaragoza can get their best version, the team will win a lot, because he’s a boy who can give a lot.
For Bounou, Jawad El Yamiq “is even better than people think in Zaragoza. He can give much more than the club expects.”
