The Moroccan’s Reaction to Hakim Ziyech Move to Chelsea

Chelsea announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam for the transfer of the Moroccan attacking midfielder.

Hakim Ziyech will be signing for the London club, as he has been expected to do for the past few days. The Blues confirmed in a statement on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam for the arrival of the Moroccan attacking midfielder, provided that the player agrees to the terms of his contract.

Hakim Ziyech reacted to the announcement of his transfer to Chelsea within hours via a publication on the social network Instagram. Here is what the Moroccan midfielder wrote to his fans:”Happy to be fit again and to be able to enjoy the next few months on the pitch, where I feel at home. I’ve received many warm and positive messages during my absence (he had a calf injury). I hope to be able to create some more beautiful memories in addition to the ones we already have. I’m delighted with the next stage, but before that I still have some things to do here.”

The two teams have agreed on a deal of 40 million euros, with a maximum of 44 million euros including bonuses. The 26-year-old, who has a contract with the Dutch team until June 2022, will end his contract with the holders of the Dutch league title and join his new club on 1 July.
