Youssef En-Nesyri Saves Sevilla FC from a Defeat

Having arrived in Andalusia this winter from Leganés with a 20 million euros deal, the Moroccan international is starting to establish himself with his new team, FC Sevilla. On Thursday against Cluj in the Europa League, En-Nesyri equalized for the Andalusians at the 83rd minute.

Youssef En-Nesyri, who already scored in the La Liga against Celta Vigo, scored the equalizer for Sevilla against Romanian side Cluj in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday. It was a crucial goal for the return leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

“I’m very happy for the work done by my team-mates,” he said. It was a difficult match and we had the opportunity to score a goal,” he said at the end of the match. He continued: “The truth is, I’m very happy to scored in my debut with Sevilla. Now we need to work harder and score more goals,” he concluded.

Sevilla had to pay 20 million euros, the amount of its release clause, to sign the former CD Leganés player. The player trained at the Mohammed VI Academy quickly integrated into his new environment. His two goals will surely give him more confidence for the rest of the season with his current club, fifth in La Liga.
