Official: Morocco Detects a Second Case of Coronavirus

Official. A second case of Coronavirus has just been confirmed Thursday morning in Morocco. According to information provided by the Ministry of Health, the tests were confirmed by the Pasteur Institute.

It concerns a woman of Moroccan nationality who resides in Italy. She arrived in Morocco on March 4 this year.

The patient is currently under medical supervision in one of the hospitals in Casablanca, where she will be treated in accordance with the dedicated health system. For its part, the Department of Epidemics and Diseases under the Ministry of Health is deploying all necessary measures.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Interior called, on Wednesday, citizens to be alert to the need to be careful against the dissemination of misleading and false information about the new Coronavirus, attributed to official parties through new technology techniques.

In a press release, the Ministry indicates that it has recently been found that some accounts on social networks and instant messaging applications on mobile phones are publishing false and misleading information attributed to official institutions about the preventive measures taken by the authorities in the fight against the new Coronavirus.

While stressing that the measures taken in this framework are announced by the competent institutions through announcements published via the dedicated official channels, the Ministry of Interior calls on citizens to be cautious against the dissemination of false and misleading information attributed to official parties through new technology techniques, adds the press release. The ministry also affirms that all legal steps will be taken by the competent authorities to identify those involved in the publication of these allegations and lies.
