Fresh from winning the CAN in Laayoune, Morocco won this Friday the trophy of the Futsal Week Winter Cup, an international tournament in Porec, Croatia.
Throughout the week, the Atlas Lions shocked their opponents. Morocco got off to a flying start with an 11-1 friendly draw against a team from Istria.
They then won 4-1 over Montenegro and 9-1 over Moldova. And finally, a 6-1 win over the United States to put their hands on the trophy.
In the general classification, Montenegro takes the second place in front of the United States and Moldova.
Qualified for the World Discipline Championships (September 12-October 4), Morocco starts well its preparation phase. Egypt and Angola are the other representatives of the continent in Lithuania.
