Morocco, the defending champion, won the 6th African Futsal-Total Cup 2020 by beating Egypt in the final (5/0), Friday evening at the Hizam Hall in Laayoune.
The goals of the Atlas Lions were scored by Soufiane Mesrar (2 goals), Abdelaziz Fati, Anas El Ayane and Saad Knya. Morocco thus retain their continental trophy won in 2016 in South Africa against the same Egyptians (3/2).
The 3rd place of this continental tournament was won by Angola who dominated the match against Libya (2-0). Morocco, Egypt and Angola will therefore represent Africa at the FIFA Futsal World Cup to be held from 12 September to 4 October 2020 in Lithuania.
The Atlas Lions, who led Group A of the Cup, secured their place in the final after beating Angola 4-0.
