Question of the day:
Date: 24.03.2020
Topic: techouva, mashiah, good deeds.
In the midst of an epidemic, can we as individuals do something to make the world a better place, and if so, what can we do?
The RAV’s answer: Each person can and must improve in his/her practice of the Torah. This will have a strong influence on the whole world, and it will make it turn to the right direction. We can see that men have even influenced the behavior of animals before the flood. One day Rav Zeira said that a bird, which had been kosher, became forbidden because suddenly this species of bird started to consume meat. Nature can change, the world can change, each person can influence the state of the world for good, and it will awaken Divine mercy. This is what His Majesty expects from us.
