Morocco Has Passed the 10,000 Tests per Day Threshold

The following are the main points of Sunday’s statement by the director of epidemiology and disease control at the Ministry of Health, Mohamed El Youbi on the epidemiological situation of Coronavirus in Morocco:

– 2531 patients are currently under treatment or awaiting the release of their results after the improvement of their health.

– 27 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been recorded during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases of contamination to 7,433 in the Kingdom.

– The number of deaths stands at 199 following the announcement of one new death in the last 24 hours; the deceased person was suffering from chronic diseases. The death rate remains stable (2.7%).

– 65 new cases of recovery from the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,703 and remission rate to 63.3%.

– The total number of excluded cases has reached 135,449 since the beginning of the pandemic, after negative analyses of 9,294 cases in the last 24 hours.
