Baccalaureate in Morocco: The Arabic Language Exam Leaked on Facebook

On Friday, which is the starting date of the baccalaureate exams in Morocco, several pages on social networks shared the Arabic language exam, one hour before the launch of the exams.

According to a source in the Moroccan press, this publication provoked the anger of Internet users, believing that this “leak” would not have been “made” by a candidate since the leak was published before the start of the exams. They called for an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the case and to find the guilty person(s).

The launch of the unified national baccalaureate examination under the regular session of 2020 was given on Friday at 8 a.m. in the different regions of the Kingdom, against the current situation of health and preventive measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

To ensure the smooth running of these examinations, a protocol drawn up by the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research includes general preventive measures against this pandemic during the examination period, applicable to all students, teachers, administrative staff and all staff working in the educational institutions concerned, including respect for physical distance (minimum 1.5 metres) inside examination rooms, lecture theatres, covered sports halls, as well as in hallways and administrative offices.
