Royal Air Maroc has announced a new flight schedule following the government’s decision to allow air and sea travel between Morocco and the rest of the world under certain conditions.
“Elaborated in full coordination with the Moroccan authorities concerned, this program, the details of which are set out below, concerns a limited number of destinations, partly composed of routes already served by Royal Air Maroc. The flights are now available for booking on the website of the National Company and through its call centers and commercial agencies,” reads a statement from the company.
The RAM also specifies that in accordance with the conditions put in place by the Moroccan government, eligible passengers must meet the conditions required by the Moroccan authorities. Thus, flights to Morocco are open to all Moroccan citizens (tourists stranded abroad, students or residents abroad and their families) as well as citizens of other nationalities residing in Morocco. Flights out of Morocco are open to Moroccans residing abroad as well as to citizens of other nationalities. Students newly admitted to universities, businessmen and citizens obliged to travel abroad for medical treatment must have an exceptional authorization issued by the prefecture of their province.
“Passengers are required to present, at the time of check-in, the results of the PCR test of less than 48 hours and the serological test. Children under 11 years of age are exempt from testing. Royal Air Maroc also reminds that the wearing of masks is mandatory on all its flights and that only handbags and bags for children and computers are allowed on board as carry-on baggage,” adds RAM.
In addition, and in compliance with government recommendations and international standards, Royal Air Maroc is implementing health security measures to guarantee the health and safety of its customers and staff. For this purpose, the company’s services regularly disinfect aircraft. Likewise, health safety measures are extremely respected during the boarding operation such as the respect of distance in the boarding area, in the transfer buses and in the walkways.
