At a time when Youssef El Arabi is scoring goals in Greece, Olympiakos are looking for another Moroccan striker: Walid Azaro (Al Ahly, Egypt).
Walid Azaro, who is currently struggling in Saudi Arabia and in a complicated situation at Al Ahly, could make a comeback in Europe. According to Greek media outlet Kerkida, Olympiakos considers the Moroccan striker to be a plan B.
Indeed, the Piraeus club are worried that Portugal’s S.C. Braga may be asking for the return of Egyptian striker Ahmed Hassan (Koka), who has been on loan since January. His €2.5 million purchase option is considered too expensive.
Olympiakos would be willing to sign Moroccan players following the performances of Youssef El Arabi, top scorer in the Greek league with 17 goals.
The contract of 25-year-old Walid Azaro at Al Ahly does not end until next summer.
