Al Ahly Look for a Way out for Walid Azaro

Walid Azaro is no longer part of Al Ahly coach Rene Weiler’s plans. The Moroccan, who was sidelined from the squad that faced Tanta on Wednesday night in the league, was also on the bench for the last three games of the Cairo giants.

According to the Youm7 newspaper, Azaro has been placed on the starting list. His services will be offered to a few clubs in the gulf, who will be able to sign his contract. A loan could even be considered, the same source believes.

Al Ahly’s decision to sign Walid Azaro is also to open the door to the arrival of 22-year-old Senegalese striker Aliou Badji, whose transfer should be made official within the next few hours.

This season Azaro has scored four goals and one assist in 11 games played. Al Ahly are asking no less than four million euros to part with the 24-year-old striker, whose contract lasts until 2021.
