The Moroccan Walid Azarou Is Expected to Leave Al Ahly

The Moroccan striker Walid Azarou, currently on loan to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittifaq football team, is likely to leave Al Ahly d’Egyte next season after Swiss coach René Weiler refused the Moroccan striker’s return to the Cairo club’s squad.

Following a request from the Moroccan striker’s agent, the case for Azarou’s possible departure from the Egyptian club as soon as his lease with Al Ittifaq expires has been under investigation, according to Egyptian media reports, according to Al Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdelhafid.

The same source said that the Azarou agent had spoken to Al Ahly with a view to taking a decision on his future as early as next season, given that many clubs are interested in hiring the former Difaa El Jadida striker.

A number of Saudi, Qatari and Emirati clubs have expressed their willingness to sign the Moroccan striker, according to media sources, who say they are waiting for the end of Azarou’s contract with Al Ahly before making an official offer. Walid Azarou was on loan to Al Ittifaq’s Saudi team last January for six months.
