Rabbi Pinto Answers Your Questions

Question of the Day:

My sister is jealous of me and keeps annoying me and getting on my nerves. We share the same room, how can we tolerate and avoid hating each other?

Rav’s Answer:

There is always tension between brothers and sisters.

We have to take this situation as an experience and try to calm her down by talking to her nicely, explaining things to her gently and praising her in a way that makes her feel valued.

It is also Tsedaka’s job to stand back a little so as to leave room for the other to have his moments of glory as well.

Not to always be the one who gives the right answer, the one who remains the last at the beth hamidrach .
