These arrests were based on accurate information reported by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
In a statement, the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) announced that the suspects were caught on the beach of Agadir, noting that research and preliminary investigations have shown that five of these individuals are active in international drug trafficking and the management of illegal migration, while the remaining seven, including two minors, were possible participants in illegal emigration.
Investigations undertaken in this case resulted in the capture of a light car with a swimsuit, two life jackets, 18 packs of Chira weighing 463 kilograms, added the same source.
All of the adult accused were placed in police custody, while the minors were placed under surveillance at the disposal of the preliminary investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The purpose of the investigation was to shed light on the details of this case and to identify the offenders and accomplices associated in this criminal network.
This case is part of the ongoing efforts of the DGSN and DGST services to fight against international trafficking in drugs and psychotropic substances, illegal emigration, and human trafficking.
