A midrach, whose Hebrew root DRCH implies research, is a biblical commentary charged with a fruitful search for multiple meanings.
It is a sum of moral considerations, ethical precepts and elements of wisdom. The author has extracted from an immense corpus of Tradition or Oral Law, what he has called “pearls of the midrach”, which may constitute one of the ways of access to ancient Jewish sapiential wisdom.
