The Italian photographer Fabio Bucciarelli won the Visa d’Or News, the most prestigious prize at the Visa pour l’Image Festival in Perpignan (south of France) on Saturday for a report made in Bergamo, the Italian city at the epicentre of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Visa pour l’Image, the world’s leading festival of photojournalism, also dedicated the American Bryan Denton, winner of the Visa d’Or Magazine, for a six-month work in India, on the water cycle, disrupted by global warming, between droughts and floods.
