A study on the links between Morocco and Bahrain by Dr Nouh Khalifa

Dr. Nouh Khalifa publishes his new book “Bahrain and Morocco: Images of Historical and Contemporary Solidarity and Cooperation”, a study of the deep relations between the monarchs of the two countries.

Researcher Khalifa revealed in his book that the unique ties between His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, have distinguished Moroccan-Bahraini relations at the Arab and international levels. In announcing the release of the book, Dr. Nouh Khalifa promised the public and interested parties to gradually publish the contents of the book in newspapers in Bahrain and Morocco in order to spread interest.

The Bahraini researcher also said that the study was based on a sample of Moroccan and Bahraini newspapers that discuss issues of solidarity and cooperation between the two countries since the reign of King Hassan II and the Emir of Bahrain Sheikh Issa ben Salman Al Khalifa. This was followed by the reign of King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa and King Mohammed VI.

The researcher also treats the media image exchanged between the two countries during the years 2017-2019, considering it as the most recent stage in the history of relations between the two countries, through the analysis of the type of contents and issues that newspapers in both countries have dealt with on Bahrain and Morocco, as well as the type of frameworks and elements of emphasis.

Dr. Nouh Khalifa also announced his willingness to launch future studies on the two countries, expressing his deep connection with the Kingdom of Morocco, as one of the scientific schools that contributed to his training during his stay in Rabat after being sent by the Ministry of Interior to the Faculty of Humanities of Mohammed V University to obtain a PhD.
