Official: Morocco Extends State of Health Emergency

The Council of Government decided on Thursday in Rabat to extend the state of health emergency throughout the country until January 10, 2021, within the framework of efforts to fight against the spread of the Coronavirus.

The decision was taken considering the requirements of the current situation necessitating to keep the necessary measures to stop the spread of Covid-19. At the same time, it was decided to ensure that the measures taken at the level of each region, prefecture or province are adequate with the evolution of the epidemiological situation.

It should be noted that Morocco continues to record significant numbers of cases of covid-19. In particular, Casablanca continues to be the most affected city.
