MAN Truck & Bus has received a very special order from Morocco. This includes the delivery of 89 city bus chassis and 11 articulated buses. The order also includes 89 chassis for low-floor buses. Irizar Maroc will be responsible for the bodywork.

Starting next year, around 100 vehicles will provide safe, reliable and luxurious transport for residents and visitors to Kenitra and the surrounding area from point A to point B. The delivery of these complete chassis and buses is planned for 2021.

 

In detail, the 18-metre long city buses of the new MAN Lion’s City generation are equipped with an automatic transmission and a D15 engine with 330 hp and 243 kW. They are equipped with a range of innovative safety assistants, plenty of space, comfortable seats and efficient air-conditioning systems, making for a pleasant and luxurious experience at any time of the year. The buses are manufactured at the production site in Starachowice, Poland, MAN’s competence centre for the production of low-floor city buses and bus chassis.

In addition, there are 89 low-floor RC3 bus chassis with a length of 12 metres, which are also intended for Kenitra. They are powered by D08 engines with 290 horsepower and 213 kW. They are also powered by automatic gearboxes.

 

In addition to the progressive technology and quality that distinguishes MAN buses, Sefamar’s outstanding service and after-sales performance was also a decisive factor in the awarding of this contract. In addition, a five-year maintenance contract was concluded for the entire fleet.
