FC Barcelona announced on Thursday three new cases of the new coronavirus, including Moroccan Abdessamad Ezzalzouli.

They are Frenchmen Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti, and Clement Lenglet, Spaniards Gavi, Jordi Alba and Alejandro Balde and Daniel Alves.

Barça says that the infected players “are healthy and isolated at home”.

The Catalan club travels to Mallorca on 2 January for the resumption of the championship with at least 15 absentees between injured players and contaminated at Covid-19.

After the Christmas holidays, almost all Spanish teams announced Covid-19 infections.

This situation has led several clubs to call for the postponement of the next round of La Liga.
