Covid-19 in Morocco: 8,338 new cases and 35 deaths in 24 hours

The new infection toll brings the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco in March 2020 to 1,086,340, while the number of people who have recovered has risen to 1,001,741, representing a cure rate of 92.2%.

Les nouveaux cas ont été enregistrés dans les régions de Casablanca-Settat (2.030), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2.002), Fès-Meknès (999), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (922), Marrakech-Safi (769), Souss-Massa (565), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (338), l’Oriental (269), Draâ-Tafilalet (169), Guelmim-Oued Noun (132), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (94) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (49).

The total number of deaths rose to 15.082 (case-fatality 1.4%), with 35 new cases recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (16), Marrakech-Safi (5), Guelmim-Oued Noun (4), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (3), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (2), Souss-Massa (1), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1) and Draâ-Tafilalet (1).

There were 69,517 active cases, while 100 new severe or critical cases were recorded in 24 hours, for a total of 571, including 28 under intubation. The occupancy rate of the resuscitation beds is 10.9%.
