Air passenger traffic at Ouarzazate airport has declined by 3.44pc in 2021, compared to 2020.
Thus, a total of 34,816 travellers transited through Ouarzazate airport during the past year, against 36,056 passengers in 2020, according to statistical data from the National Office of Airports (ONDA).
Compared to the year 2019 (136,007 passengers), Ouarzazate airport has seen a 74.4pc drop in passenger traffic.
The same source informs that the airport of Ouarzazate occupied, in 2021, the 13th place at the national level in terms of passenger traffic.
Nationally, overall commercial air passenger traffic last year increased by 38.9pc compared to 2020.
The Kingdom’s airports recorded commercial air traffic of over 9.9 million passengers in 2021.
