The shooting of the second season of the Wheel of Time series is already underway in Ouarzazate.Part of the technical staff of this American fantasy series, produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios and executive produced in Morocco by Kasbah Films, is already on site.
The construction of the sets has already started and the shooting should take place not only in the CLA studios in Ouarzazate, but also on location. It is therefore a very beautiful audiovisual production project which should start, in concrete terms, next month. Indeed, on 2 March, a plane with 180 people on board should land in Ouarzazate and filming is scheduled for the first week of the same month.
The filming of this fantastic series, which brings together a fine array of actors including Rosamund Pike, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford and Zoed Robins, Barney Harris and Daniel Henney, is expected to continue in Marrakech and Dakhla. As announced earlier by many international media outlets, the executive producer is the Moroccan American Sanaa Hamri.
As a reminder, Season 1, consisting of eight episodes, was filmed in Europe and largely in the Czech Republic, in and around Prague, but also in the surrounding mountains and forests.
