Nearly 2,200 Moroccans from Ukraine have returned home

From 2 to 8 March, RAM has provided, within this framework, 15 special flights operated by aircraft type B737 and B787 Dreamliner, from four countries: Romania, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, stresses MAP citing sources of the national company.

These flights, provided at a fixed price of 750 dirhams per ticket, are part of the operation of special flights in favour of the Moroccan community established in Ukraine launched by RAM in consultation with the Moroccan authorities.

It should be recalled that several Moroccans are still stuck in this disaster-stricken country and are finding it extremely difficult to find their way to the borders. Several videos have shown the suffering of Moroccans, prevented by Ukrainian border guards from crossing the borders. Acknowledging these difficulties, the Kingdom’s embassy in Ukraine has stepped up communication with people in the most war-torn cities of Kiev, Kharkiv, Kherson and Mariupol.

According to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Moroccan embassy in Kiev is in contact with the Ukrainian authorities. The Moroccan authorities have also been in contact with their Russian counterparts regarding Moroccans who have not been declared to the services.
