Saad Lamjarred is not welcome in Iraq

Saad Lamjarred, the controversial Moroccan pop star, is preparing to hold his first concert, in Baghdad, capital of Iraq on June 2, at Sindibad Land, announced the management of this theme park, via its official Facebook page, which also launched the reservations for this artistic event.

This will be the first time that “Lemaâllam” will perform in a “big concert” in Iraq, according to the expression of Sindibad Land, while on social networks many Iraqis have called for a boycott of this event, fiercely opposing that Lamjarred sing in Baghdad.

Also, several Baghdadis Internet users consider that the entry in their country of Saad Lamjarred and his concert is a way to restore his reputation because he is still accused in cases of rape, violence and harassment, knowing that he has not been cleared, so far, of the charges against him.

And, upon the announcement of the said concert, the hashtag “Saad Lamjarred marfoud” (Saad Lamjarred, persona non grata) was created and was widely shared on the social networks Twitter and Facebook.
